What sort of workforce surveys services can you provide and what is their likely cost?
Below is a "menu of services" of the sort of help we can provide and likely costs. Service and price can be tailored to meet needs.
Level 1 – "Getting started"
Spend a day talking to the Bristol HR Director, Personnel Manager and PWE Research Officer. A combination of presentation, discussion and questions that facilitates learning about PWE and staff surveys. How did we approach it, what worked and how would we approach things differently. This session has been used by other Universities to inform senior colleagues, perhaps outside of HR, of the benefits of such an approach.
Cost to you: £1,920
Level 2 – "Plan and Launch"
Support developing a question set using a preloaded set of general Higher Education staff survey questions as a foundation. More in depth advice on establishing a working party, working with staff representatives, communication with the workforce, survey and question design, maximising response rates and feedback.
The amount of investment put in during this stage of the process will influence the quality of the final product. In our experience this process, if done from scratch, will take many weeks.
Cost to you: £3,840
It is estimated that around six days of support will provide a product ready to launch. Cost includes a BOS licence for one year complete with an agreed preloaded question set. These costs should cover the workload, however should additional time be required it will be charged at £500 per person per day.
Level 3 – "Analysis and Reporting"
Specialist support when analysing and reporting on the data. Advice around anonymity in reporting and data quality. Drawing conclusions and themes from data. Cross tabulation of data as requested. Production of professional communication documents for differing audiences.
Cost to you: £26,240 (this is only an indicative cost, which will vary depending on such issues as the size of your university and the organisational structure).
Normally, the cost of all three stages separately comes to £32,000. However, if your organisation wishes to make use of the whole package of services we offer, the cost will only be £29,250. These costs are exclusive of VAT, design, printing and any travel that may be incurred.
